Business Network of Emergency Resources (BNET) Forms Strategic Alliance With Enterprise Air

Following A Disaster Or Serious Emergency Partnership with Emergency Air Gives BNET’s CEAS Program Ability To Provide On Site Electronic Verification Of Credentials Used By Critical Government And Business Employees

New York City - Business Network of Emergency Resources (BNET) today announced that it has formed a strategic alliance with Enterprise Air, a leading provider of solutions for the physical security and emergency first responder segments of the Homeland Security market. Enterprise’s Emergency Response Access Manager (ERAM) solution, an innovative software program can now be used for the verification of ID cards at the scenes of emergencies issued to critical business and government employees as part of BNET’s Corporate Emergency Access System (CEAS). BNET headquartered in New York City, is a not-for-profit company dedicated to establishing practical and effective emergency and crisis management solutions through partnerships between the public and private sector.

CEAS, is a pre-event credentialing program, which authenticates critical business employees to gain access to restricted areas following a disaster or serious emergency using a secure identification card recognized by the police. Jurisdictional governments must adopt the CEAS Program for use in their jurisdiction before businesses can enroll in the Program and receive ID cards. The local authorities can implement CEAS following an emergency once immediate threats to life are stabilized.

“It is our goal to make this cutting edge technology for managing access control at emergencies available to all of our CEAS programs jurisdictions,” said Peter Picarillo, Executive Director of BNET. “Our CEAS programs are operational in New York City, Buffalo and Nassau County in New York, Boston and Cambridge, Massachusetts and Stamford, Connecticut. Currently, New York City is the only jurisdiction the ERAM .”

“We are extremely pleased to have our Emergency Response Access Manager software used as an important part of the CEAS program and hope that current and future CEAS cities adopt our innovative software, ”said Michael Hejtmanek, Enterprise Air, Chief Executive Officer.

Enterprise Air’s Emergency Response Access Manager (ERAM) suite is a solution for checking ID cards and credentials at an emergency site, which allows active CEAS members to be identified at an incident. ERAM is a complete solution packaged in a rugged portable kit and can be easily interfaced to existing identity infrastructures. ERAM is deployed for issuing & managing credentials, interfacing with existing identity sources and verifying identity badges and tracking access using handheld devices.

Enterprise Air’s Portable Credentialing system provides CEAS municipal partners with:

  • The ability to track and check personnel during an emergency
  • Electronic verification of credentials to eliminate fraud, counterfeit, and use of revoked and expired credentials
  • A complete portable system which can be easily transported to CEAS municipal partner sites
  • A system that supports peer to peer synchronization so that many enrollment systems can be utilized and perform data merging at a later time
  • The ability to provide on site credentials for use by critical government employees or contractors
  • A system that can be integrated with any available identity infrastructure and already integrates with most physical access control systems out of the box
