Background
John Lindeman is the director of enterprise solutions for SunGard Recovery Services. In this capacity, Lindeman strategically manages SunGard’s enterprise solutions group, as well as planning and selection of storage systems across all platforms. Additionally, he is responsible for all of SunGard’s SunVault electronic vaulting offerings.

Previously, Lindeman served as network product manager, responsible for the research, development, and implementation of new technologies and recovery networking services.

Prior to that, he was a network systems engineer and was responsible for the design of nationwide recovery networks for SunGard subscribers. In addition, Lindeman spearheaded the introduction of SunGard’s Remote Operations Controller (ROC), the cornerstone of SunGard’s Remote Testing Operations Center (RTOCs).

Lindeman is a frequent guest lecturer on a variety of recovery topics and has delivered presentations at symposiums and conferences held by the Data Processing Manager’s Association (DPMA); Association of Contingency Planners (ACP); AT&T Accunet User Group; Blue Cross/Blue Shield; the American Bankers Association (ABA); the Disaster Recovery Journal; Networld; and the United Nations Symposiums on Technology.

Before joining SunGard, Lindeman was an MVS system programmer at LTV Steel. He is a graduate of Rosemont College and has served in the U.S. Navy.
