systems, and extensive experience in finance and business impact analysis.
Robert Takemura brings to MLC & Associates, Inc. his experience
in several diverse fields. This experience includes Disaster Recovery
and Business Resumption Planning and Testing, Information Systems Recovery
Planning and Testing, Property Management and Leasing, Lending, Branch
Banking, Purchasing, Import/Export, Customer Relations, and Sales.
Mr. Takemura graduated in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science
degree from the University of California at Los Angeles. He has regularly
attended classes in real estate and property management through UCLA Extension
where he attained a Certificate in Real Estate Finance. Mr. Takemura has
attended various business seminars ranging from ADA compliance to hazardous
materials law. His background also includes completion of an extensive
six month Management Training Program at a major California Savings &
Loan. In addition, Mr. Takemura has served as the Treasurer (1996) and
Secretary (1994) of the Orange County Chapter of the Association of Contingency
Planners. He is currently an adjunct faculty instructor for the University
of Phoenix (Contingency Planning & Management Program).
Mr. Takemura has demonstrated his skills and abilities by
facilitating numerous strategic planning and brainstorming sessions for
various organizations including: Toshiba America Electronic Components,
Pharmavite Corporation, LA Cellular Telephone Company, CenFed Bank, World
Vision, SAIF Corporation, and Mattel.
In 1994, Mr. Takemura managed the simultaneous restoration
of six facilities of a major Southern California bank following the Northridge
Earthquake.
He has proved his expertise in the Disaster Recovery arena
by performing physical assessments for client facilities; playing a key
role in the development of two full-scale Disaster Recovery/Business Resumption
Plans for two major California Savings & Loans; and developing and testing
a comprehensive Information Systems Disaster Recovery Plan for a large
computer component manufacturing/distribution firm. As an experienced
writer, Mr. Takemura has developed Disaster Recovery Plans and formal
Policy & Procedures documentation.
