Analysis
of Business Continuity Planning Recommendations in 9/11
Commission Report
King
of Prussia, PA - The recently released final report
of the 9/11 Commission contains many practical and important
recommendations for the US government. Not to be overlooked,
the report also contains recommendations regarding Business
Continuity Planning (BCP) in the private sector. In
fact the report states that, "Homeland security and
national preparedness...often begins with the private
sector."
"We believe that compliance with the standard should
define the standard of care owed by a company to its
employees and the public for legal purposes," the report
states. "Private-sector preparedness is not a luxury;
it is a cost of doing business in the post-9/11 world.
It is ignored at a tremendous potential cost in lives,
money, and national security."
The complete report can be found on the Web at www.9-11commission.gov.
