National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians
The National Association of EMT was founded in 1975. Members held the first board meeting on September 27, 1975, in Columbus, Ohio. Today, it is the nation’s largest and oldest organization solely representing the professional interests of EMT and paramedics. International Association of Fire Chiefs
The International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) is a powerful network of more than 12,000 chief fire and emergency officers. Their members are the world's leading experts in fire fighting, emergency medical services, terrorism response, hazardous materials spills, natural disasters, search & rescue, and public safety legislation. National Association for Search and Rescue Inc.
The National Association for Search and Rescue, Inc., (NASAR) is a not-for-profit membership association dedicated to advancing professional, literary, and scientific knowledge in fields related to search and rescue. NASAR is comprised of thousands of paid and non-paid professionals interested in all aspects of search and rescue - the humanitarian cause of saving lives - throughout the United States and around the world. "...that others may live." Response to persons in distress has long been an honorable, charitable tradition. The professionals in search and rescue have carried on this tradition of helping others by dedicating time, information, skills, equipment and funding to the relief of suffering. They are actively working toward the development of improved coordination and communications among federal, state, local, and volunteer groups. MidAmerica Contingency Planning Forum
The MidAmerica Contingency Planning Forum was formed in 1994 to serve as a forum to facilitate the exchange and dissemination of information regarding all aspects of contingency planning in both the private and public sectors. This includes:

  • Business interruption avoidance
  • Business resumption planning
  • Contingency operations
  • Disaster recovery planning

MCPF offers the novice as well as the expert planner the opportunity to share and broaden their knowledge of contingency planning. The organization aids planning professionals in staying abreast of current industry trends in mitigation, planning and recovery. www.drj.com/groups/mcpf/mcpf.htm

American Society of Safety Engineers
Founded in 1911, ASSE is the oldest and largest professional safety organization. Its more than 30,000 members manage, supervise and consult on safety, health, and environmental issues in industry, insurance, government and education. ASSE is guided by a 16-member Board of Directors, which consists of 8 regional vice presidents; three council vice presidents; Society president, president-elect, senior vice president, vice president of finance and executive director. ASSE has 13 practice specialties, 150 chapters, 56 sections and 64 student sections. www.asse.org

Advocate for EMS
AEMS has grown into an organization consisting of corporate, organizational and individual members and has succeeded in establishing relationships with members of Congress and staff on Capitol Hill. In addition, AEMS has also worked to establish relationships within the various agencies that have jurisdiction over EMS issues, including the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration through Department of Transportation, Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Homeland Security bringing to light many of the issues surrounding EMS. National Emergency Number Association
National Emergency Number Association, (NENA) is to foster the technological advancement, availability and implementation of a universal emergency telephone number system (9-1-1). In carrying out its mission, NENA promotes research, planning, training and education. The protection of human life, the preservation of property, and the maintenance of general community security are among NENA's objectives. NENA’s leadership team represents the diverse NENA membership, and collectively, the 9-1-1 industries. NENA is an organization dedicated to saving lives through the improvement of 9-1-1 services in North America, and beyond. Midwest Contingency Planners
The Midwest Contingency Planners is a not for profit organization. They serve as a forum for business professionals working in the areas of business continuity, business resumption, contingency planning, disaster recovery and other related emergency recovery functions. BOMA International
BOMA International was founded in 1907 as the National Association of Building Owners and Managers. Association for Facilities Engineering
AFE provides education, certification, technical information and other relevant resources for plant and facility engineering, operations and maintenance professionals worldwide. California State Firefighters' Association
CSFA’s mission is to foster and promote a better understanding among members, elected and appointed officials and the public; to encourage the maintenance of the civil service system; to promote the observance of high standards of conduct for firefighters; and to work for the enactment and maintenance of laws and regulations that benefit fire service personnel and protect life and property. Arizona Emergency Services Association
Arizona Emergency Services Association is extended to representatives of private and public organizations, industries, and businesses involved in or with interest in comprehensive emergency planning, emergency response, and/or other emergency management activities. Association activities are directed to promote and enhance inter-agency and inter-discipline cooperation in development of a fully integrated and professional emergency management community within the state of Arizona. The Association conducts an annual conference and a mid-year training workshop; provides a membership directory, and a bi-monthly newsletter.
