Standards and Maturity Models
The Disaster Resource GUIDE is preparing an article for our upcoming 13th annual edition which focuses on the emerging standards related to business continuity, emergency preparedness, organizational resiliency, etc. While there are a number of certifications for professionals in the BC field, this study is regarding certifications for companies or organizations.
We are seeking comments, evaluations, and insights from individuals whose companies fall into one of the following categories, with some suggested questions for comment. Please send your replies in an email to: publisher@disaster-resource.com

- Your company is considering getting your BC program certified, and evaluating which standard to use.
a. What is motivating you to have your company certified?
b. Which standards are you considering and why?
c. How much do you expect the certification audit to cost?
d. Do you anticipate asking those in your supply chain to become certified?
- Your company is in the midst of the certification process.
a. Do you have comments on any of the questions above?
b. How did you select a company/consultant to conduct your audit?
c. Was the certification process a set price, and if so, what price?
